I feel like Katie Couric is alternating between trying not to smirk and trying not to hit Sarah Palin.
When I was a child, my favorite thing to do was write stories. My mother still has (somewhere?) the first story I ever wrote. “Watch the Flower Grow” is a tale of a small seed that — you guessed it! — grows into a beautiful flower. Free play time from ages 5 through 10 was…
Continue Reading »Five years ago, on the night before you were born, I lay awake in bed wondering. Who were you? What would you look like? What would your personality be? I was so anxious and excited to meet you. And then, at 5:55 pm the next day, you arrived. A happy, healthy and mellow baby with…
Continue Reading »It’s that time of year again… G’s birthday is coming up! As my little man plans to mark his fifth year, I have a party to organize. And, of course, pay for. He wanted gymnastics, so I called the nearest place. The cost? $270. On top of that, I will need to buy food, cake,…
Continue Reading »I am completely obsessed with genetics. I find the manner in which dominant and recessive genes combine to form a phenotype (i.e. the trait that displays) positively fascinating. A simple and itnelelignt point, well made. Thanks!
“I’m not looking at polls”
I love that quote-you’re not looking at polls, meaning you’re not looking at America’s opinion? I loved Katie’s expression. She did look like she wanted to bitch slap the woman and tell her to get back to her hunting lodge.
I hoped you were serious about moving to Canada.
Looks like you’re staying.
oh wow, i really hope you saw SNL’s parody of this interview. it was hilarious.
Oh my…watching her try to string together a coherent sentence is almost as painful as watching Dubya try to do the same.
I know we are all laughing about this (including me) but at the same time, I am scared as hell that this woman and McCain will get in. This whole election seems like a very sick sitcom. Hold on to your hats though, there is always an “October Surprise”.
THAT could wind up being a heartbeat from the Presidency? I’m contacting the Canadian Embassy nearest to me before they start turning us away!
Excruciating.
well, that’s just- well…embarrassing. Eek.
